Grades 7-9. The Candidate Book includes six sessions with catechesis drawn from the rite of Confirmation. Each session begins with a ritual prayer experience that leads into the lesson theme. The session themes are Born Anew in Baptism, Sealed with the Gift of the Spirit, In the Strength of His Love, The Oil of Salvation, More Like Christ, and In the Unity of Faith. The book also includes a brief summary of basic Catholic beliefs in question-and-answer format, guidance for choosing a sponsor, and a reflection on choosing a name.
