The revised Student Text has updated photos in addition to the classic artwork. The question and answer sections have been revised and referenced to the Catechism. New vocabulary is now indicated by bold type. Common Catholic prayers have been inserted in the chapters and included in the back of the text. Every chapter now opens with a Scripture passage. The student text, which is not a workbook, can be reused year after year. Quotations from Scripture, the liturgy, church documents and the saints highlight important points. Questions and answers at the end of each chapter help in review and memorization. All the illustrations are full-color, taken primarily from classical Catholic religious artworks. Grade 5 is an introduction to the Creed and teachings of the faith, focusing on God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It includes 30 chapters plus liturgical year supplement, Catholic glossary and prayers. (2002-05)
